Cravings have left most of us ravishing our cupboards at 11:00pm for whats left of the bag of Doritos or handful (okay, two handfuls) of Chips Ahoy! and feeling a bit guilty that we ‘ruined’ our perfectly healthy salad streak. ‘Why can’t I just crave an apple?!’, we shout (head tilted back, arms raised and fists dramatically shaking). Unfortunately, most people crave junk food, instead of a bowl of broccoli — but it doesn’t have to be that way.  It turns out that cravings are really just your body’s way of asking — begging for the vitamins, minerals and nutrients it’s not getting from your diet. So stop depriving your bod and feed her right or you’ll be headfirst in a bowl of Hagen Daz by midnight.  Here are what your most common cravings are telling you and what healthy grub you should grab instead: Craving sweets?
